dang yall this week was INSANE!!!! first off we had some great dinner at the davis's! they are the coolest family ive met on my entire mission! they are from vernal and actually know grandma and grandpa! and then on wednesday it was raining pretty hard snd we had service planned with one of our investigators and when we called to cancel we asked us if we wanted to go to a seafood restaurant! and it was so good!
alright now time to start with the real deal! so as most of yall know we were supposed to have a baptism this past week. well we did! it was the lomas family, a family of five and we had the craziest experience ever! so like most of yall know the whether down here has been pretty bad.

it has rained a lot and the new iberia area is prone to flooding. anyways we were supposed to have our district leader (elder joubert) come up from laffayette to interview the family and when we woke up on saturday the clouds were looking pretty crazy. anywasys. it started to rain harder than ive ever seen rain in my entire life! it was worse than the tornado we went through last year! so withing about 30 minutes the streets in the area were flooded up to our knees! since we were away from our apartment at the time we were stranded on a island in the parking lot of a auto shop and we had to park the car and walk to our apartment! anyways, we had to postpone the interview until later that night,

so we waited until 6 for the DL to come up and do the interview and as we were doing the interviews we were planning on just the girls getting dunked rather than the father as well but he told us that he wanted to be dunked as well!! it was such a cool experience! so we got the interviews done and we had someone who didnt really pass the interview so she needed to be interviewed by our mission president the next day!
so we wake up sunday morning to the exact same rain! but luckily our mission president showed up to church safely! so as he was doing the interview we stared to go fill up the font and when we went to look at it it was full of poopy sewage water!! and it was filling up still! there was a break in the pipes and the water was comiing up out of the drain!! so we called the laffayette building and told them to start to fill up their font because we are coming down!
so we got to laffayette and i had the wonderful opportunity to perform the ordinance to the father the oldest daughter and the middle daughter and it was such an awesome experience! and then we did the confirmations and it was so crazy confirming someone and giving them the holy ghost! and in spanish as well!!

well thats about all i got for yall this week! im so excited to skype next week!! my church gets out at 12:30 here and i will be home to skype at like 1ish. ill be able to text yall and let yall know what time ill be on for sure.
love yall! thanks for all the prayers and stuff!! especially for the lomas family! keep praying for them! the father alex is struggling finding a job right now.
